The charming nature overlooking the lake, rich in live oak, sequoia and cedar wood, has been portrayed from many angles of the park and lake by numerous artists of the Grand Tour.
Inside the grotto area we can admire a large basin used to collect water as well as some faux archeological ruins (like the one-lighted window used as a bench) typical of a romantic style park of the 19th century.
In 1999, the entire Park was purchased by the town council that organized the restructuration work and was opened to the public in 2006.
