Immersed in a four-hectare park near the municipality of Rocca di Papa is the historic ‘Villa del Cardinale’, a 17th century hunting lodge that belonged to the Colonna Princes for centuries, built in 1629 by Cardinal Gerolamo Colonna on land donated by Pope Urban VIII Barberini. Thanks to its origins and beauty, it has been designated a ‘Residence of National Interest’ by the Superintendence of Artistic and Architectural Heritage of the Lazio region. The location enjoys a breathtaking view of the famous Lake Albano, where it is possible to organise exclusive events in the spacious outdoor areas, or in the historic indoor rooms available for receptions. Moreover, Villa del Cardinale offers its guests the possibility of staying in one of the 34 available rooms, both individual and for groups, naturally equipped with every comfort and completely surrounded by greenery.
